Marrybrown Still Going Strong in Opening Outlets Nationwide Amidst Covid-19
Events
March 2020

The Covid-19 pandemic has placed everyone in a state of confusion and uncertainty, and brought along a difficulty in predicting a murky future for all. Local, national and global companies were impacted negatively in this pandemic, with some corporations taking a step back during this crisis. However, Marrybrown Malaysia is rising up to the challenge and stepped up their game in tackling this pandemic.

With 39 years of restaurant chain business under their belt, and an international team of experts of many fields, Marrybrown saw an abundance of opportunities in this crisis period. Marrybrown has always pride themselves in taking care of their people both internally and externally, and to ensure all their franchisees are taken care of, Marrybrown has decided to ease their worries by waiving their franchise royalty fee for three months from March to May 2020.  Marrybrown not only took the initiative to waive the franchise royalty payment and advertising funds for all their franchisees particularly in this MCO period, but also supporting them by talking to their landlords for rent reductions and deferral, while also working with their suppliers to ensure continuous supply and support for one another.

Marrybrown has also executed their roles to ensure that the underserved and unprivileged are not neglected. To aid staff in government hospitals, police stations and healthcare’s first responders, Marrybrown has donated their signature Crispy Chicken and Nasi Lemak MB to front-liners located in Perlis, Johor, Perak, Penang, Keda,. Negeri Sembilan, Kelantan and Selangor in appreciation of their dedication and effort that they have given to Malaysians to keep everyone safe and sound in their own homes. As MCO happened in the midst of the Ramadhan month, Marrybrown organised a CSR Kasih Ramadhan MB, where they channeled 1280 packs of food to students who were finally able to go back to their homes under the CSR program with the Minister of Higher Education, and also shared their favourite MB meals for free with Malaysians especially those who have to work tirelessly during the MCO period.
